I love how this one came out! It was inspired by a trip to the Eno River over the summer, and took forever to paint, but now that it's done.... *happy sigh* I really love that it is one of those paintings that is incredibly vivid from across the room, and just as vivid at arm's length, but once you really zoom in on it then it fragments into all the little brushstrokes and glowing layers....

Painting this makes me want to go back to the beach the next time a hurricane comes through- with this one there was just a front making everything more dramatic, can you imagine what it would be like for a proper hurricane?
